Domain name and hosting contest

I received a message through Entrecard today from Alvin of ModPinoy.com. Surprisingly, not only is he from Marikina, but he also graduated high school from the same school that I did. We are both alumni of Marikina Science High School, which in our time was still called Marikina Institute of Science and Technology. Anyway, I've been joining blog contests since last February to try out my luck. I've blogged about the whole premise before but I'm too lazy to link it up now.

I've been thinking of getting my own domain name and hosting for years but for a couple of reasons, I have decided that the only way I would be getting one is if someone gives it to. I will not, in any way, spend my own money for it. Secondly, if ever someone does give me one, I will not give up this blog. I will instead, start a new blog there, and maintain both.

In line with this, ModPinoy.com is having a contest and the Grand Prize is a domain name and hosting for one year. This comes with WordPress installed, OIO Publisher direct pro plugin and WP-Auction (free version) plugin. Runner ups can win either a 125x125 or 250x250 ad spot for one month. There are three ways to enter.

a) blog about the contest for 25 entries

b) subscribe by email; 5 entries for every participating blog you subscribe to

c) post a comment on any of the participating blogs for 2 entries
